Cohorte Cantabria is a prospective, multipurpose study aiming to recruit 50,000 residents of Cantabria aged 40-70, representing 20% of the target population. By July 2024, 40,000 participants had joined, with recruitment ending in April 2025. Follow-ups every 4 years over at least 20 years include biological sample collection (serum, plasma, DNA), body composition, physical activity, sleep, and extensive health analyses. Clinical data in OMOP format integrates medical records, including diagnoses, lab results, and medication. Online cognitive assessments and detailed lifestyle and health questionnaires are also included. The study supports Precision Medicine, offering regulated access to data and samples for researchers.
